“Rosie was rescued from the woods near my in-law's house shortly before Thanksgiving 2009. She was starving and near death, but we were able to nurse her back to health. She was quite fearful and not very trusting, especially of men, at first, but when she got used to our routine with our other dogs (we had three besides her at the time), she warmed up, relaxed and became her silly Boxer self. Rosie was unique in that she so visibly loved her packmates and became so devoted to each of us. She would frequently count noses to make sure everyone was accounted for and wouldn't relax until then. It was only appropriate that we should return her loyalty by helping her cross the Rainbow Bridge at home. Thank you for providing this service and for helping make this difficult step to be more humane and peaceful for all concerned.”
